A Bit About Me
I grew up in a city when I was young, and although I loved my life as a city kid, finding a green natural environment with blue skies was not common for me. When my family moved to the countryside in middle school, I began to really notice my surroundings and was amazed by the beauty of nature and the effects it can have.
My father has diabetes, and when a new barefoot walking trail was built in Dangjin, he started going there every day. So, one day, I decided to join him. At first, walking without shoes felt weird and strange; however, after finishing, I felt my skin become softer. After that, I often followed my dad to the barefoot walking trail.
I was curious about how barefoot walking became popular in South Korea, and through my research, I discovered many health benefits it brings, such as aiding in cancer recovery, relieving chronic pain, improving blood circulation, strengthening the immune system, and reducing stress. When I later moved to Boulder, I was inspired to introduce the idea of barefoot walking into Boulder’s beautiful natural setting.
As a Safe2Tell Student Ambassador, I created this project with the hope that the Boulder community could enjoy these benefits of nature while living healthier lives. My goal is to contribute to society by encouraging people to recognize the importance of nature and the healing power it holds.

Now
I first went to the barefoot walking trail in Dangjin, South Korea, with my dad.
Every weekend, I went on the barefoot trail with my family, especially with my dad and sometimes with my grandparents.
I became more interested in its benefits and real effects, and I began researching barefoot walking on my own.
When my family moved to Boulder, Colorado, I experienced the most beautiful nature and environment I had ever seen, and I began thinking about introducing barefoot walking here.
I began researching and even created a model design on my own.
